Enspire to Host Flash Fanatics Meeting November 19
Austin, Texas - November 13, 2003 - Enspire Learning will host Austin's bi-monthly Flash Fanatics meeting, the premier gathering for Flash Experts in Austin, on November 19.
The topics of the November Flash Fanatics meeting are "The Mighty MovieClip: An Introduction to Using the MovieClip as a Data Object, with a Twist," presented by Bill Rainey, and "Intro to the Flash MX Drawing API," presented by Marc Majcher. The event will be held in the ACES building on the UT campus in room 2.402 on November 19 beginning at 6:30 PM. Parking is available around the UT campus.
Bill Rainey is an artist turned programmer who still remembers being amazed to use a terminal to access a computer all the way on the other side of campus. He specializes in Flash Interactive design and ActionScript programming for the education market.
Marc Majcher has been using Flash for five years or so, starting with Flash 3. He has abandoned the Man, and has been an independent contractor for the last few years, producing quality code for clients including Macys, Sprint, NEC, There.com, Macromedia, and the Texas Rollergirls. Marc is working on a secret project, and he is one of the seventeen rare Austinites who is not in a band.
Flash Fanatics was founded with the purpose to bring together Austin's best Flash developers and provide a forum for exchanging advanced Flash techniques. It meets bi-monthly and features presentation on advanced Flash and ActionScript techniques.
