Enspire Director of Content Development to Speak on Simulations at eLearning DevCon 2004

Austin, TX - August 3, 2004 - Enspire Learning, a leading developer of custom e-learning solutions, announced today that its Director of Content Development, Nathan Kracklauer, will be speaking at the eLearning DevCon 2004, a conference sponsored by Rapid Intake Press. Kracklauer's session is titled "Interactive Storytelling and Simulations: Increasing Motivation and Retention in a Blended Environment" and will focus on the emerging use of simulations in the corporate training environment.

Kracklauer's presentation will look at interactive simulations and scenarios and their effectiveness. It explains how e-learning modules in which students learn by interacting with a simulated environment create an experience that leads to higher completion and retention rates.

To illustrate a successful simulation design, the presentation looks behind the scenes of several online simulations and interactive courses, including the "Global Supply Chain Management Simulation" - a simulation developed at Harvard Business School.

The symposium will be held outside of Portland, Oregon from August 9-11.

Kracklauer is the head of Enspire's instructional design department. With his expertise in storytelling and instructional design, Kracklauer has developed and documented Enspire's unique and award-winning approach to creating engaging online courseware. He is responsible for training and guiding Enspire's content development team and has led numerous instructional design workshops for clients such as the U.S. Air Force, Harvard Business School, and The Army National Guard.
