The Wall Street Journal Features Enspire's Leadership Simulation
Austin, TX - May 31, 2005 - Michael Totty, Staff Reporter for The Wall Street Journal, focused on Enspire Learning in his latest issue of the Technology Report. The topic of the May 23 article was simulations and, more specifically, their application in today's business world.
The article covered soft skill simulations such as call center training and workplace ethics, and included a brief case study of Enspire's Executive Challenge implementation at Pitney Bowes. The multiplayer Executive Challenge allows teams to hone their leadership, communication, and teambuilding skills through role playing in a simulated corporate environment.
Totty spoke about the simulation with executives from Enspire and Pitney Bowes. Dave Basarab, Director of Employee Development at Pitney Bowes, said the simulation paid for itself "many times over" and stressed that if employees maintained their old behavior they wouldn't be successful.
Enspire CEO Bjorn Billhardt supported this statement. "In order for people to change their behavior, they have to learn the consequences of wrong behavior."
The article is not the first time Enspire's Executive Challenge was featured in The Wall Street Journal. Last May a report on leadership covered the deployment of the offline version of the simulation at the University of Texas at Austin.
Billhardt added, "It is a true honor to be recognized by The Wall Street Journal."
